AUTUMN

How beautiful these autumn days
When festive scenes unfold,
The hills are dressed in brightest robes
Of flaming red and gold.

These are days I love to roam
Along the country way
To be a part of all that makes
The glorious autumn day.

The purple haze a’top the hill,
The sky so blue and clear,
And all the brilliant autumn leaves
Can’t help but bring you cheer.

Sun-blest fields of ripened grain,
A quietness on the land;
It calls our hearts to gratitude
For bounty from God’s hand.

These amber days so richly blessed
In trees and sky and sod…
Who can view an autumn day
And not believe in God?
